Makhachkala, December 7, 2015. Dagestan journalist Zhemilat Ibragimova won the annual patriotic nationwide competition for the best journalistic material "RUSSIA - strength in unity” held recently in Moscow.

More than 150 applications were submitted from different regions of the country for participation in the competition. All of them have been published on the website of the competition organizer – the Information Agency "SevKavInform." The winners were determined in five categories: "Unity unlike" "Our love you, Russia", "We have much to be proud of," "School of International Friendship", "Russian language - the language of interethnic communication." The members of the jury and the readers who wanted to cast their vote for their favorite stories selected the best works.

Zhemilat Ibragimova won in the nomination "We have much to be proud of" with her article "Wild Division - the pride of the Russian army." Her article, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of one of the most legendary, but unjustly neglected Russian military units, has found an echo among a large number of readers and caused a lot of positive feedback.

It speaks about the Caucasian Native Cavalry Division that fought in the First World War and was nicknamed "Wild" for its specificity, exoticism and the exploits of the young highlanders who served in the Division. The article also contains interesting facts about the life of some of the characters.

The prominent politician, the former president of Ingushetia, the deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of RF President in the Central Federal District, Murat Zyazikov, the military journalist, the deputy editor of the newspaper "Zavtra" Vladislav Shurigin and editor in chief of the news agency "SevKavInform" Hadzhimurad Magomedov handed in awards and diplomas to the winners of the contest "RUSSIA - Strength in unity".
