Dagestan State Technical University students hold workshop for deaf children
Makhachkala, February 26, 2015. Students of Dagestan State Technical University’s faculty of architecture and civil engineering held a workshop for deaf children, the press service of the university told RIA Dagestan.
The workshop was part of the students’ visit to the Makhachkala boarding school for hearing-impaired children. The future architects conducted a master class in painting, and then organized an exhibition of boarding school pupils’ paintings. The best works got awards and gifts. The exhibition melted the stiffness observed in the beginning, soon giving way to easy communication.
The press service of the university said that hearing-impaired children tend to have a more sophisticated visual perception, so their pictures showed brighter colours and more exciting themes.
