On February 17, 2025, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan in collaboration with the Republican House of Folklore Arts and Dagestan regional Public Organization «Union of Women of Dagestan» will host the Republican Forum-Festival «In Memory of Russia’s Heroes» in Makhachkala. The event is dedicated to the Year of Fatherland Defender.

The festival will open with a photo exhibition titled «In Memory of Heroes», which features 50 portraits of Dagestani individuals who served in the army and were awarded the title of the Hero of Russia. The concert program will feature performances by professional and folk artists from various cities and districts of the republic, showcasing their talents.

A unique aspect of the forum will be the presentation of stories about thirteen Dagestani heroes who received the highest honorary title for their bravery during the three-year special military operation in Ukraine. The event will commence on February 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the Russian State Drama and Music Theater.
