During the first six months of 2025, expenditures on fuel in the North Caucasian Federal District exhibited a significant increase. Residents and visitors collectively spent over RUB 5.7 billion rubles on gasoline and diesel, representing a surge of more than one-third compared to the corresponding period in the previous year, as per analysis conducted by Savings Bank specialists.

Dagestan emerged as the leading region within the district in terms of fuel purchase frequency. Drivers in Dagestan completed nearly half a million transactions at gas stations during the first half of 2025, totaling expenditures exceeding RUB 1.8 billion. The Republic of North Ossetia – Alania secured the second position, with motorists settling payments at approximately 300 thousand gas stations and expending over RUB 1.3 billion. Kabardino-Balkarian Republic rounded out the top three, trailing North Ossetia by a mere 14 thousand transactions while incurring expenditures approaching RUB 1.2 billion.
