In May 2024, Dagestanis actively chose Azerbaijan and Turkey as holiday destinations. According to some mobile operators, the number of Dagestani travelers who preferred to spend their holidays abroad increased by 13% compared to the previous year.

In the first weeks of May, many residents of the republic chose Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia for their vacations. The UAE and Kazakhstan were among the top 5 destinations. Asian countries showed the best growth: the number of tourists visiting these countries increased by one and a half compared to last year. Thailand, China and the Maldives accounted for the majority of trips.
