Europe's largest Islamic center to be built Dagestan
Makhachkala, March 10, 2015. The construction of the largest Islamic center in Europe kicked off on the territory between the cities of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk in Dagestan. The main building of the complex is a mosque with a capacity of 50 thousand people. It will be the largest one in Europe.
For comparison - the mosque in Grozny "The Heart of Chechnya" at the same time can host 10 thousand people. Besides, the mosque complex will include a new building for the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Dagestan, the Museum of the Republic and Islam, an underground parking and other social and religious sites.
