On May 6, Dagestan Poetry Theatre hosted the opening of the photographic exhibition titled "Meeting with Veterans" which aligns with the objectives of the state-sponsored initiative "Youth and Children".
The exhibition features photographs depicting meetings between young people and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. During these meetings the heroes shared their memories and told about their experiences of surviving the trials of war. "Meeting with veterans" is a unique opportunity to retrace the chronology of events of the Great Patriotic War and gain first-hand knowledge about the war, rather than relying only on books or television broadcasts.
The exhibit encompasses the memories of soldiers who fought on the front lines, civilians who contributed to the war effort, personnel working in evacuation hospitals and those who endured imprisonment in concentration camps. The exhibition is open for visitors until May 31.
The national project «Youth and Children» is designed to foster the development of young people's talents and their self-actualization. The project prioritizes the construction and renovation of educational institutions, professional advancement of teachers, the development of innovative teaching methodologies and the creation of comfortable learning environments. Additionally, the national project envisions the establishment of a network of cutting-edge campuses and provides support to universities participating in the Priority 2030 program. The project is implemented on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
