Istanbul hosts the IV session of General Assembly of the International Union of Muslim Scholars
Makhachkala, August 22, 2014. The IV session of General Assembly of the International Union of Muslim Scholars takes place in Istanbul fr om August 20 till August 24, the press service of Daghestan committee on freedom of conscience and interrelations with religious organizations reports.
The session brought together members of the Union, prominent Muslim scholars and activists from all over the world.
"Within the framework of conference a round-table on "The role of Muslim scholars in revival of the Ummah" will be held. A video presentation of the historical speech of the Russian Federation President in Ufa, wh ere Vladimir Putin announced the new approaches in the development of Russian Islam, its interaction with the state and society will become the main event at the conference"- the spokesman pointed out.
Daghestan is represented by a delegation consisting of chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Daghestan, the Mufti of the Republic of Daghestan, Sheikh Ahmad Haji Abdulaev, the head of Daghestan committee on freedom of conscience and interrelations with religious organizations Suleyman Magomedov and Imam of Juma mosque of Makhachkala Muhammadrasul Hajji Saaduev.
"Also Istanbul will host solemn celebrations devoted to the 10th anniversary of organization of the General Assembly of the World Council of Muslim Scholars " - the source concluded.
