Makhachkala to host Forum on Russian Language as a Pillar of Interethnic Harmony

On November 13, 2025, Makhachkala will host the VII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference, "The Russian Language as a Guarantee of Interethnic Peace and Accord in a Multi-Ethnic Region". The event aims to highlight the critical role of the Russian language in fostering unity and dialogue within Russia's diverse cultural landscape.
The conference is co-organized by the Republican Center of the Russian Language and Culture and the Interregional Directorate of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs.
Participants will convene to discuss the significance of Russian language in strengthening interethnic peace, share best practices, and develop practical recommendations. Key topics on the agenda include:
• The development and evolution of the modern Russian language.
• Its role in ethnic regions and as a tool for intercultural communication.
• Its influence on culture, the formation of civil identity, and fostering interaction between the peoples of the Caucasus and Russia.
