Dagestan has formalized an agreement on establishing a regional center for scientific and educational activities in mathematics based on Dagestan State University. The agreement has been signed by Yakhya Buchayev, head of the regional Ministry of Education and Science; Murtazali Rabadanov, rector of Dagestan State University and Amuchi Yakubov, dean of the Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty of DSU.

The Centre will serve as a hub for fostering scientific progress in the field of mathematics and training highly skilled professionals in the region. The signing of this agreement coincides with the observance of Mathematicians' Day in Russia.
