Dagestan Forestry Committee (Dagleskhoz) is actively engaged in reforestation work under the federal initiative “Save the Forest” and the national target project “Ecology”. The day before Tabasaran Forestry employees had prepared soil for sowing acorns on an area of 5 hectares. The mechanized soil preparation will ensure optimal conditions for the future oak forest. The forestry team will commence the acorn sowing process in October this year.

Reforestation works in the forests are carried out on convenient and accessible forest areas for further care" - Vagab Abdulhamidov, the Forestry Committee Chairman says.

This will ensure effective germination of acorns and further growth of young oaks, contributing not only to the restoration of forest cover, but also to the preservation of the region's biodiversity.
