Architect Isa Magomedov has announced that the mosque of the Spiritual Center in Derbent will be adorned with a unique snow-white marble quarried on the Greek island of Thasos.
This type of marble, mined since the sixth century AD, has an exceptional purity and strength, making it a prized material for decorative purposes. In ancient times, it was used to adorn temples and palaces, and now it is set to become an integral part of the architectural complex in Derbent.
The architect emphasizes the thermal properties of this marble, noting that it maintains a cool temperature even in intense heat, making it an ideal material for both palace interiors and the restoration of historical monuments worldwide.
