Dagestan State University (DSU) is going to develop ten new popular science routes covering all regions of the Northern Caucasus. The development of this direction corresponds to the objectives of the national project "Science and Universities".

The new popular science routes are intended to familiarize schoolchildren, students and representatives of the older generation with the rich historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of the Caucasus. Travelers may see ancient cities, visit the sites of historical battles, explore artifacts and observe the work of scientists engaged in advanced research.

This year, the university's project won a federal contest and received funding from the federal government in the form of grants for the organization and execution of popular scientific events. It is anticipated that the project's implementation will not only contribute to the growth of tourism but also play a significant role in promoting science.

The primary objective of the national initiative "Science and Universities" is to propel Russia into the top five global leaders in the advancement of priority fields. Efforts are underway to create an environment that promotes the well-being of scientists in Russia and significant emphasis is made on the promotion of scientific endeavors in order to encourage young individuals to enter this field.
