Zubairu Zubairuev holds seminar for young journalists
Makhachkala, April 24, 2015. First deputy Dagestan minister of press and information Zubairu Zubairuev held a seminar for students of the Citizen Journalism School. His speech was about "Creating a positive image of Dagestan". He even made a survey "Which Russian region or country would you like to move to and why?" Having analyzed their answers, the students realized that the main part of their desire to move to a place was the information spread about the place.
Through this example, Zubairuev demonstrated the future journalists that a positive image of the region plays a crucial role in enhancing its attractiveness for tourists.
"Dagestan has to offer a whole tourist menu: mountain, wine, equestrian, ethnic, ski, beach tourism, etc. You know very well that fr om a geographical point of view, Dagestan is an amazing piece of land, wh ere within a hundred kilometers from Makhachkala, you can visit all the natural-climatic zones of the world: steppe, dunes, deserts, plains, foothills, mountain areas, sea, liana forest, and many more," the deputy minister reminded the audience.
Zubairuev also discussed with the audience why, with so much natural wealth in place, Dagestan has become a place which not only are tourists in no hurry to visit, but also the place which the locals are trying to leave.
At the end of the event, the official answered the students’ questions.
