The combat sambo team of Dagestan emerged victorious in the team event at the championship of the North Caucasian Federal District held in Shali, Chechen Republic. Dagestani athletes claimed 4 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals, solidifying their dominance in the competition.

Among the champions, Magomed Saidov in the 79 kg category, Magomeddibir Ibragimov in 88 kg, Magomed Magomedov in 98 kg, and Musa Kuramagomedov in +98 kg emerged as the victors.
