Dagestan regional freestyle wrestling team secured second place at the Russian Cup team tournament held in Kyzyl. The tournament featured seven teams from across Russia, competing in a head-to-head format starting from the group stage. Dagestani team topped its group by defeating the national teams of Khakassia (10:0), Moscow (7:3), and Buryatia (7:3). In the finals, Dagestani wrestlers faced the hosts – the team from Tuva. The match finished with a tied score of 5:5, but based on additional criteria, the overall victory was awarded to the hosts.
