Makhachkala, November 28, 2016. Dagestan Thai boxers Kamran Nabati and Abusupyan Abdulmedzhidov won gold medals at the World Thai boxing championship, held in Kazan on November 20-27.
The tournament brought together about 300 participants from 30 countries. The Russian national team with 15 gold medals took the first place in team offset. The graduates of Dagestan Thai boxing school made a contribution to the success of the Russian team.
Kamran Nabati gained a victory in the weight category up to 60 kg, Abusupyan Abdulmedzhidov became the best in the category up to 86 kg.
The World Thai boxing championship was one of the last qualifying events for non-Olympic sports that will take place in Wroclaw, Poland in 2017.
