The fifth annual DAGRUN TARKI TRAIL race, a renowned autumn sporting event in Dagestan, has recently finished on the Tarki-Tau Mountain observation deck. Over 300 participants from across Russia converged for the occasion, joined by a runner hailing from Cameroon, who traveled the farthest to partake in the competition.
Athletes selected one of three distances: 5 km, 10 km, or 25 km, each traversing picturesque routes offering stunning vistas of Makhachkala and the Caspian Sea. The event attracted not only seasoned runners but also novices embarking on their running journey. A convivial atmosphere prevailed, characterized by camaraderie and shared enthusiasm. Upon completion, participants were greeted with medals, refreshments, and a vibrant awards ceremony.
Khaid Jafarov, Director of ANO DAGRUN, eloquently expressed the race's essence: "This competition embodies energy, human connection and love for our region. For five years, DAGRUN TARKI TRAIL has evolved into a cherished tradition, symbolizing aspiration for progress and a commitment to well-being. We are honored those participants join us not only from various regions of Russia but also from abroad".
