The regional Ministry of Sport intends to construct 14 athletic fields in cities and municipal districts of the republic this year. 9 of these fields will be standard sporting areas, while five will be «smart» ones, built as part of the nationwide «Demography» project. As reported by the ministry, last year, such intelligent fields were built in two localities of Khasavyurtovsky and Ahvakhovsky municipal districts. These sport grounds provide opportunities for playing volleyball, basketball and mini-soccer, as well as for enhancing general physical fitness through street-based exercise equipment.
