Dagestan will benefit from two new, substantial football complexes, equipped with six modern fields, thanks to a collaborative initiative between the Republic and the Russian Football Union (RFU).

This agreement, formalized last week at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), was signed by the federal Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev, RFU President Alexander Dyukov, and the regional governor Sergei Melikov.

The complexes aim to provide a conducive environment for the training and development of aspiring footballers in Dagestan. This initiative builds upon the existing success of the RFU-sponsored school football league in the republic, which saw the participation of over 263,000 children last season. Notably, Dagestan boasts the highest number of schools (150) participating in the RFU's "Football at School" project nationwide.
