The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov awarded the winners and laureates of the second final round of the Russian Volleyball Championship among men's teams of the Higher League "B", which was held in Kaspiysk at the Sports and Youth Palace named after A.Aliyev.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abdulmuslimov announced that the "Dagestan" volleyball team had won a place in the "A" division of the Russian league ahead of schedule, thus making it unreachable for their opponents.

Today, the team from Dagestan played their last game of the season and defeated V.C. Grozny, winning 3-1. Throughout the season, the team coached by Magomed Gairbekov had won 48 games and lost only two, which is why they were promoted ahead of schedule. Grozny finished in second place in the "B" division of the Russian Championship, with V.C. Obninsk taking third place.
