Makhachkala, August 3, 2015. In crisis conditions, the republic of Dagestan succeed in attracting investors. The North Caucasian republics, seems, to look better in crisis compared even with neighboring industrially developed regions. Being accustomed to live on the federal subsidies, they will keenly feel the drop in subsidies from Moscow. However, the investors prefer to invest in more profitable areas with the "low base effect" - so that the lack of budgetary infusions compensate the private ones.
Noteworthy, the brilliant dynamics of the Northern Caucasus has been highly appreciated by the authors of “The attractiveness of the Russian regions” rating list.
For example, following the results of 2014, Dagestan took the ninth position in the ranking. The authors explain the high ranking position of Dagestan by the astonishing positive trends. Especially impressive growth is observed in the economy, thanks to the considerable funds invested by the state institutions. The private investors started displaying interest to the republic too, nowadays.
