Modern greenhouse complexes to be opened in Makhachkala
Makhachkala, December 26, 2014. Modern greenhouses complexes are planned to be opened in Makhachkala, said interim city mayor Magomed Suleimanov at his meeting with agricultural workers held in the conference hall of the city administration, the administration’s press service told RIA Dagestan. The meeting brought together chairman of the Makhachkala Deputies Assembly Abdulmumin Ibragimov, heads of regional administrations, and heads of agricultural enterprises.
Welcoming the participants, Suleimanov pointed out the importance of using and developing the agricultural sector in an efficient way, "We pay great attention to developing agriculture. It is critical that we provide environmentally friendly food to consumers as well as educational, healthcare and social protection facilities. To this end, we stick to the city program "Developing agriculture and regulating food and raw materials markets for 2013-2020". We are also active in the "Efficient Agriculture" republican priority project. Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov declared 2015 the Year of gardening in the republic and appealed to Dagestani to revive the industry. In this regard, the city government plans to open modern greenhouse complexes in all 4 vehicular entrances to the city,"- the mayor emphasized.
Head of the city agricultural department Paizulla Paizullaev reported on the positive trends in agricultural development in the capital: livestock and production of meat, milk, vegetables, fruits and grapes are constantly increasing.
Next, participants heard reports by heads of agricultural enterprises who highlighted achievements and challenges in the agricultural sector, and proposed their own ideas and solutions. The mayor promised to provide all possible support to farmers in solving problems they are facing.
In summer, Suleimanov toured city villages and suburbs for personal meetings with the locals. Their suggestions and comments were recorded and later included in the city work plan for the forthcoming years.
