Russian Construction Minister meets with Dagestan head in Moscow

Russian Minister of Construction and Housing Mikhail Men had a working meeting with Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov in the ministry in Moscow.
Abdulatipov informed the minister on the dynamics of Dagestan development and the observed growth in industry and agriculture. He noted that the housing sector had not been paid much attention to for many years, so there are lots of problems in this area.
Participants discussed issues of licensing the management companies, problems of post-flood recovery efforts in Derbent and other Dagestani municipalities, subsidizing the injured people and accomodating Dagestan citizens, etc.
Dagestan Head spoke about the large-scale clearing of the October Revolution canal in Makhachkala and also pointed out a number of measures taken as for the public utilities in the republic.
The parties also discussed preparations for celebrating the 2,000th anniversary of Derbent. The federal minister recommended they be focused on attracting private investment and expanding public-private partnership while providing urban amenities. Mikhail Men assured the federal Ministry of Construction and Housing will fully support Dagestan in this area.
