In the month of Ramadan, a delegation of ambassadors of Islamic countries will arrive in Dagestan to take part in a collective iftar organized on behalf of the Head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov. More than 10 ambassadors are expected to arrive in the republic. The guests will visit places significant to Muslims, meet religious figures and take part in religious events. There will also be Quran recitations and various exhibitions.

Derbent will be the main venue for the events. Municipalities and the general public will be invited to the collective iftar."Such events prove once again that Dagestan is a place of consolidation not only of nationalities and religions, but also of states. Derbent, as an ancient city, is a perfect place of consolidation", - Sergei Melikov says.
