Russia’s government has initiated infrastructure development for the "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" project in the regions of Dagestan and Buryatia. A substantial sum of RUB 4 billion has been allocated to these regions to facilitate the construction of modular hotels. The Ministry of Economic Development anticipates that this investment will rapidly increase the availability of high-quality, affordable accommodations for the tourists.

The "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" project envisions the establishment of all-season resorts along the coastlines of the Japanese Sea, Caspian Sea, Black Sea, Azov Sea, Baltic Sea, and Lake Baikal. This ambitious endeavor aims to create a cohesive tourism network interconnected by waterways, thereby enhancing Russia's appeal as a premier travel destination.
