Approx 25 thousand tons of grapes harvested in Dagestan

The grape harvest season has commenced in Dagestan. The Republican Committee on Viticulture reports that approximately 25,000 tons of grapes have already been harvested this year, with an average yield of 115 quintals per hectare. Projections indicate that the total harvest volume will surpass 300,000 tons by the season's end. Popular grape varieties cultivated in the region include Rkatsiteli, Moldova, Pervenets Magaracha and Augustine. Derbent and Kaitag municipal districts are currently leading in harvesting progress.
