Dagestan showcases significant advancements in its rice industry. Kavkaz LLC, having already invested in over 1,000 hectares of modern irrigation systems and a grain cleaning and storage facility, has commenced construction of a new processing plant in Tarumovsky municipal district.

This plant, with a capacity of 40 tons of rice groats per shift, will complete the rice production cycle by ensuring full harvest processing. The project also encompasses the construction of a new silo capable of storing nearly 20,000 tons of rice. Scheduled for completion in 2026, this plant marks a crucial step towards establishing Dagestan as a leading rice producer.

This development coincides with the rapid expansion of Dagestan's rice industry, evidenced by the construction of four rice processing plants in recent years. This success is largely attributed to improvements in water infrastructure, particularly the recent modernization of the Kargala hydroelectric complex. This complex, which supplies water to 75% of the republic's rice fields, primarily in Kizlyar and Tarumovsky districts, guarantees a reliable water supply and paves the way for further production growth.
