More than 220 sales points for watermelons and melons have opened in Moscow, offering customers harvest from Dagestan and other regions of Russia. The melon season will last until the beginning of October.

Mavlid Khaibulaev, a Dagestani agricultural entrepreneur cultivating watermelons on a hundred-hectare farm, showcases his products in the capital city. Through the implementation of grafted seedlings several years ago, this seasoned melon specialist has achieved a notable increase in yield and enhanced the sweetness and sugar content of his melons.

Melon cultivation annually occupies over 8,000 hectares in Dagestan. This year's harvest yielded approximately 224,000 tons of watermelons and melons within the region.
