SK–Aqua LLC has undertaken a major investment project in Dagestan, establishing a facility for sturgeon aquaculture and caviar production. During the first six months of 2023, the company successfully cultivated 109 metric tons of sturgeon. Data from Dagestan Committee on Fisheries indicates that 6.1 metric tons of sturgeon were processed during this period. Furthermore, the Committee reports that SK–Aqua LLC anticipates launching its canning line in October.
