In 2025, a remarkable expansion is projected for the cultivation of black cumin on the area of 20 hectares in Dagestan. This represents a four-fold increase compared to the initial planting in 2024.

Dagestan's agricultural sector plays a pivotal role in the regional economy, contributing 21.8% to the gross domestic product of the republic. Over the course of the past decade, there has been a notable two-fold growth in agricultural production within the region. Agricultural lands occupy a substantial 67% of the territory of Dagestan.

In 2024, Dagestan harvested a significant 160,000 tons of rice, marking a substantial increase. Additionally, a state-of-the-art vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 1,500 tons worth RUB 99 million was put into operation in the region.

Recently, the remarkable achievements of a Dagestani company were recognised at the prestigious All-Russian Investment Award "Vershina", held as part of the Caucasus Investment Forum. The ALIYAK project was awarded in the "Best Investment Project in Agriculture" category.
