Dagestan to present 54 investment projects worth over 200 billion rubles at economic forum in Sochi - Yusup Umavov

Makhachkala, September 16, 2015. In 2015, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment of the Republic of Dagestan will present 54 investment projects in the priority areas of the economy for a total investment of over 200 billion rubles and 105 business ideas worth more than 205 billion rubles at the International Investment Forum "Sochi", the minister Yusup Umavov told the RIA “Dagestan” correspondent.
According to Umavov, Dagestan business projects relates to different areas - agriculture, industry, construction, tourism, transport, fuel and energy complex, folk arts and crafts.
"Dagestan regularly becomes the participant of the Forum in Sochi with a view to attract investments and to improve the investment attractiveness and the image of the Republic. Our stands always been creative displaying the latest achievements in the field of presentation and exhibition activities.
This year, we present a series of extensive products: the interactive investment passport of the Republic of Dagestan, the presentation film about the republic, catalogs of food and nonfood products, the catalog of import-substituting products, the catalog of investment projects for the presentation of the investment and industrial potential of the republic will be presented at the Forum", - Umavov said.
Umavov pointed out that the International Investment Forum "Sochi" - is a modern platform for constructive dialogue between the business community and the government. The Forum is established by the Government of the Russian Federation to address the issues of development of the world economy and its key trends, to discuss the prospects of investment and innovative future of our country, as well as presentation of large-scale investment projects of Russian regions.
In 2015 the International investment forum Sochi-2015 will take place during the period from October 01 to October 04. The prgramme will feature 30 roundtable meetings that will focus of the budgetary process, on measures to boost the efficiency of budgetary spending, on the development of infrastructure within the partnership between the government and private businesses, on the possibilities of import substitution in specific industries and on promoting Russian innovation projects on the global market.
