First Phase of Novolak Wind Power Plant Launched in Dagestan

The first phase of Rosatom's Novolak Wind Power Plant in Dagestan has begun supplying electricity to the country's unified energy system, according to Rosatom's press service. According to the press service, this launched phase includes the commissioning of 61 wind turbines with a total capacity of 152.5 MW.
The second phase of construction is planned for completion in 2026. It involves the installation of an additional 59 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 147.5 MW. Once all facilities are operational, the wind farm's installed capacity will reach 300 MW, making the Novolak Wind Power Plant the largest wind farm in Russia. The plant's planned average annual electricity generation is 879 million kWh.
