In the first 10 months of 2025, Dagestan processed 6,427.6 metric tons of fish products—nearly 10% more than the total volume processed throughout the entire previous year. Of this, 5,530.4 tons consisted of fish caught in the Caspian Sea, forming the bulk of the raw material.

This growth is attributed to government support measures, including subsidies for purchasing modern equipment, as well as the expansion of processing infrastructure. Currently, 20 fish-processing enterprises operate across the republic. Leading company “Caspian Ryba” gets prepared to launch a new deep-processing plant in the Kizlyar District.

The positive trend is further driven by steady demand for high-value-added products and the rising influx of domestic tourists, both contributing to increased consumption and market opportunities for local seafood.
