This initiative, a joint venture between Azerbaijani and Dagestani entities, has been formalized during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The southern regions of Dagestan, specifically Magaramkent and Derbent districts, have been identified as suitable locations for olive cultivation. Implementation is slated to commence by year's end.
Olive processing will occur within the republic. Notably, a local company, "Posh," specializing in dried fruits and tomatoes infused with olive oil, has joined the project as a co-investor.
