Five major projects in the field of renewable energy sources (RES) will enable Dagestan to increase its generating capacity by more than 480 MW. The implementation of these projects is estimated at over RUB 70 billion.
Key facilities include:
— Novolak Wind Farm (300 MW) by JSC "Rosatom Renewable Energy" – the largest in Russia, with half of the wind turbines already installed.
— Derbent Solar Power Plant (102.3 MW) by LLC "UK Novaya Energiya" – construction work is completed, and module installation is underway.
— Nogai Solar Power Plant (60 MW) by LLC "Unigreen Power" – the substation is ready, and tracker systems are being installed.
— Samur Small Hydropower Plants (6 MW) by LLC "HydroEnergy" – a cascade of six stations; equipment has been ordered and concreting has begun.
— Makhachkala Wind Farm (12.5 MW) by LLC "Makhachkala Wind Farm" – a construction permit has been obtained.
The completion of these projects will ensure an annual generation of approximately 1.2 billion kWh, equivalent to 25% of the republic's current electricity generation volume.
