A farm in the village of Ashaga-Arkhit located in Khivski municipal district of Dagestan will start production of a wide range of cheeses, including those based on Italian and French technologies. The investment project is being realized by a local firm, which plans to produce not only fermented dairy products, but also ice cream. It is planned to start cheese production in spring 2024. At the first stage the milk processing capacity will make approx. 10 tons per day, then up to 80 tons. 100 permanent jobs will be opened at the enterprise, the investor says.
