Roskachestvo (Autonomous non-commercial organization "Russian Quality System" - a national quality monitoring system that carries out independent studies of the quality of goods) has classified three hotels in Dagestan. Three hotels located in Derbent received the 4-star category.

"This is our first visit to Dagestan. We have evaluated the hotels Europe, Golden Beach, Old Town Derbent located in Derbent" Alexandra Kudela, Roskachchestvo official says.

According to the standards set by Roskachestvo, 4-star accommodations must have the following features: 1. A lighted sign 2. An elevator if the building has more than two floors 3. Uninterrupted electricity and hot water supply in case of emergencies 4. Rooms with bathrooms of at least 12 square meters 5. Rooms of the highest category 6. A variety of meal options 7. Change of bed linen every two days and towels every day 8. A gym, business center, conference hall and possibly a swimming pool (for hotels with a larger number of rooms)

The level of professionalism among hotel staff is also assessed separately.
