The official opening of Dagestan-Azerbaijan joint venture "S.R.Plast" took place in the republic. Within the framework of agreement concluded on the sidelines of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the parties started joint implementation of the project on construction of a transport-logistic agro-center.

According to the investor's representatives, the agro-center will include refrigerated chambers for storage of agricultural products and a packaging system.

Dagestan is a key link in the international "North-South" transport corridor within the framework of which the region is preparing for a huge increase in cargo turnover. The location of this agricultural center in close proximity to the federal highway will have a positive effect on its future activities, and our farmers will have an opportunity to deposit finished products and harvests.

Azerbaijan partners have repeatedly emphasized the importance of establishing partnership and concluding strategically important agreements with Dagestan. For its part, Dagestan authorities provide the project with the necessary land and engineering communications. The logistics center is equipped with the necessary facilities for long-term storage of agricultural products.
