The creative team of Dagestan State Puppet Theater held the final showings of the play "Thumbelina" within the VII International Puppet Festival in China. The performance was presented for the Chinese schoolchildren.

"The interpretation of the famous fairy tale by G.-H. Andersen in the reading of Dagestan puppeteers made an indelible impression on the young spectators and their parents. This was evidenced by great applause and big grateful feedback".

The Puppet Theater from Dagestan at a decent professional level created an amazing and heartfelt reading of a fairy tale familiar to all of us since childhood. True art, despite the language barrier, will always find its way to the human hearts. This performance has shown us that"-  Chang Yang Sen, Chairman of China International Puppeteers' Union UNIMA, said about "Thumbelina".

The Chinese association UNIMA has planned a number of other international projects with the participation of Dagestani puppeteers. Agreements on creative cooperation have been reached.
