The National Museum of Dagestan named after A. Takho-Godi presented an exhibition project "My Dagestan" in Altai. The event was held within the framework of the National Project "Culture". The exhibition reveals the culture and history of Dagestan and consists of several blocks: national costumes of the peoples of Dagestan, ancient jewelry, unique household items and various photo exhibitions, one of which is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Rasul Gamzatov.

Dagestan and the Altai Mountains have long-standing cultural ties. Since 2012, the National Museum of the Altai Republic has been exhibiting Rasul Gamzatov's saber, personally presented by him to the first head of the Altai Republic Valery Chaptynov.

Director of Altai Museum Rimma Erkinova expressed gratitude to the management and staff of Dagestan Museum for exhibiting its best collection in Altai. "The art crafts of Dagestan, such as Kubachi silver jewelry, Balkhar clay products, have always been famous and surprising. In the near future we intend to invite Dagestani craftsmen to organize master classes in Altai and exchange experience with their colleagues", - Erkinova noted.

The exhibition project is accompanied by photos "Beautiful image of a Gorky woman", collected from art photos by Pazil Alilov. The exposition will last till March 11, 2024.
