In the current year, Dagestan has made a substantial advancement in overcoming its digital disparity by launching fifteen communication infrastructure projects as per the scheduled plan.

At the recent government sitting, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Ramazan Abdullayev, presented a comprehensive report detailing the progress of the federal initiative "Eliminating Digital Inequality" within Dagestan. The report emphasized the persistent challenges in the region's telecommunications sector.

The "Eliminating Digital Inequality" project, introduced in 2022, targets the provision of contemporary LTE mobile communication services to sparsely populated and remote settlements housing between 100 and 500 residents.

Since 2025, this initiative has been extended to encompass communities of up to 1,000 residents. As per the deputy minister's report, 93 communication facilities have been built and activated in Dagestan since 2023, with 15 more becoming operational this year. The remainder of 2023 will see the completion of an additional 45 base stations, aiming for a total of 214 facilities by 2030.
