Makhachkala, March 24, 2015. Caspian flotilla gunners launched drills in Dagestan, as reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
During the exercise, 150 gunners will practise the battery’s operation as part of an amphibious assault landing in the face of opposing an imaginary enemy. The crews of self-propelled Nona guns will work out the skills of capturing and retaining the beachhead, and exercise defensive battle using electronic warfare.
The gunners will deal with more than 50 fire missions; the combat vehicles’ crews will fire at both single and group goals.
The drills also imply handling elements of radiation, chemical and biological protection, engineering training and medical care practice.
