The Government of Dagestan has formally initiated a comprehensive digitalization strategy with the establishment of "Digital Dagestan" an autonomous non-profit organization (ANO).

The Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov signed the decree on August 4th outlining the ANO's primary objectives: accelerating innovation across key economic sectors, fostering IT education, training skilled workforce for the digital industry, enhancing digital literacy among the population through extensive training programs and promoting modern project management methodologies within both the public sector and the business community.

The regional Digital Development Ministry will serve as the founding entity for the ANO.  Subsequently, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Dagestan has been tasked with developing and approving the ANO's charter, as well as identifying a suitable candidate for its leadership role.

This initiative represents a pivotal step towards a systemic transformation in Dagestan's digital landscape. By establishing a specialized organization, the government aims to concentrate efforts on developing human capital, advanced technologies, and essential competencies required for successful digitalization.
