The regional authorities have announced a program to revitalize mountain communities through the development of educational infrastructure. The initiative proposed by Sergei Melikov, the Head of the republic, prioritizes the construction of small, modular schools in remote villages.

Melikov instructed the government of Dagestan to develop a comprehensive plan for the construction, equipment, and staffing of these schools, as well as to study and adapt successful models from other regions of Russia. The multifaceted approach aims to ensure mountain communities in Dagestan access to high-quality education and full integration into the region's economic and social development.

To address educational inequalities in sparsely populated areas, the proposal suggests the establishment of boarding schools in supportive communities, along with safe transportation options for children. A major focus is placed on integrating digital technology into the learning process in order to ensure equal access to modern knowledge for all children across the republic.

As to the top official, this initiative represents an investment in human capital and ultimately contributes to the long-term stability and prosperity of the region.
