By the 2026 beach season, Dagestan Caspian coastline will undergo a significant transformation, supported by a RUB 110-million government investment in a comprehensive beautification project. The initiative targets over 16.6 hectares of beachfront across four key locations: Kaspiysk, Izberbash, the village of Zelenomorsk, and Arablar. The State Budgetary Institution "Tourism Center of the Republic of Dagestan" has been entrusted with the centralized management of the renovations and the long-term maintenance of these zones, ensuring all upgrades are completed before the start of the summer tourist season.
These coastal improvements are part of a broader, sustained effort to develop regional tourism infrastructure. In 2025 alone, nearly RUB 60 million in state subsidies were allocated to municipalities, funding tangible projects such as a new pedestrian trail in Gunib District, an observation deck in Suleiman-Stalsky District, a modern tourist information center in Makhachkala and the completed upgrade of the Tobot Waterfall and Stone Bowl recreational area in Khunzakh District.
Collectively, these strategic investments aim to significantly enhance the comfort, accessibility and aesthetic appeal of a Caspian seaside holiday in Dagestan. By systematically improving both coastal and inland amenities, the republic reinforces its growing reputation as a premier and well-rounded destination for domestic and international visitors.
