At a meeting of the State Council Commission on Workforce Development, Government Chairman Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov highlighted Dagestan's progress in the federal "Professionalitet" project and announced a significant expansion.

Following a successful competitive selection, Dagestan will establish two new educational clusters—in mechanical engineering and information technology. This builds on the republic's existing clusters in Agriculture and Tourism & Services, launched in 2022, which already involve 34 enterprise partners.

The Mechanical Engineering Cluster is slated to begin operations at Dagestan State Technical University in 2026, offering targeted training in collaboration with the leading industrial enterprises such as the Dagdizel Plant. The discussed proposals will be finalized for consideration in the upcoming State Council meeting's presidential directives.
