Mikhail Mishustin visits Dagestan pavilion at CIF 2025

Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has attended Dagestan pavilion at Caucasus Investment Forum -2025. The republic presented large-scale initiatives in tourism, industry and logistics.
These initiatives encompass the development of the "Caspian Coastal Cluster", a multi-seasonal tourist and recreational complex. Additionally, plans were presented for the establishment of the "Dagestan" All-Russian Children's Centre in Derbentski municipal district and the "Kayakent" resort city project.
Glass Industry: The glass cluster project has generated 325 new employment opportunities. These jobs are associated with a glass ball production venture and the modernization of existing glassware manufacturing facilities.
Agriculture Sector: Focused on fruit and vegetable production, this cluster aims to create 2,500 jobs in total. As of April 1, 2025, 630 jobs have already been realized. Furthermore, extensive agricultural development has taken place, encompassing over 800 hectares with intensive orchards and 2,700 hectares with hazelnut plantations. Additionally, a fruit storage capacity of 5,000 tons has been constructed.
A major initiative is underway to establish the region as a hub for footwear production, aiming to generate 1,600 new jobs. Currently, half of the planned shoe factories are operational, while the remaining facilities are under construction.
Simultaneously, substantial investments are being made in transportation and logistics infrastructure. These include the ongoing modernization of Uytash Airport and the development of bypass roads in strategically important cities such as Khasavyurt, Derbent and Makhachkala.
In addition to these projects, construction of the Novolakskaya wind power plant is progressing steadily. Work has begun on an access road to the site, and the installation of wind turbines is underway.
