As to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, the volume of investments is growing and the unemployment rate is decreasing in regions of the North Caucasian Federal District.

“The district takes a leading position in tourism development. The mountain resorts and sanatoriums accept more guests every year. Industry, agriculture, social sphere and tourism are equally important for the further harmonious development of the macro-region. For each of them it is necessary to continue joint work of authorities and business” – Novak is quoted as saying.

Under the state target program 14 social and communal infrastructure facilities have been commissioned in the region. 20 tourist infrastructure facilities have been put into operation in the Elbrus, Arkhyz and Veduchi ski resorts. The Kavkaz.RF Development Institute has built 13 ski slopes, a cable car, a car park, as well as the transport and engineering infrastructure facilities. A sports complex and two multifunctional playgrounds were built in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. A training building for the College of Economics and Management put into operation in the Chechen Republic.
