Parliaments of Dagestan and Moscow Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Chairman of the People's Assembly of Dagestan Zaur Askenderov, and the Chairman of Moscow City Duma Alexey Shaposhnikov, have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement between the two legislative bodies. The signing ceremony took place in Moscow and elevates the partnership between the regions to a new, inter-parliamentary level, complementing the existing agreement between the executive governments.

As to Alexey Shaposhnikov, the Agreement establishes a substantive foundation for developing multifaceted cooperation between the regions, specifically in trade, culture, healthcare, and tourism. The Speaker of Dagestan Parliament Zaur Askenderov has affirmed that Moscow remains a reliable and steadfast partner for the republic in the implementation of key social, infrastructure and humanitarian projects. Askenderov also reported on the positive trends in Dagestan's socio-economic development, underscoring the active role and legislative work of the republic's deputies in driving this progress.

The Agreement aims to strengthen comprehensive ties and facilitate the exchange of legislative experience between the regions. The delegation of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, headed by Zaur Askenderov, also invited deputies of Moscow City Duma to visit the republic.
